The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

This movie is one of many based on the classic story by Alexandre Dumas, but only this one has its own twists. This one starring James Caviezel and Guy Pierce, takes on the tale and makes it its own. Even though the movie mostly covers the time in prison, it is very thorough about the truth. I think that the whole revenge plot was too short in the movie but if they'd follow the book it would have been at least 30 years. For those of you who have read this book you'll understand that I'm not exaggerating. Anyway, this movie may not be the best in the world but it is pretty good with the depth of the characters and the incredible story. It kind of makes you want to make sure you haven't ticked anybody off lately. This movie is, in my opinion, is a great film with an extraordinary interpretation of a classic story.
