The Hangover

I honestly thought this movie would not be that great. I thought it was just another spoof kind of film, the preview looked like it was three guys on a vacation in the wine country or something like that one movie Sideways.
But, once again, I must admit I was wrong. No, I'm not wrong because of my mother, it was actually her friend Crissy who asked us to put it on. We had all watched Slumdog Millionaire and it was actually a really movie.
The Hangover is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, and I've seen alot of movies. With an amazingly misfit cast that meshes together perfectly. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha are incredible and have the funniest scenes ever.
Every time I see this movie I have to watch it! Not only to annoy my mom but because the jokes only get funnier the more you hear them. Yes, some parts you can't look at, as in 'If you look your going to throw up' but that fact that these guys have no memory of what happened and what they have to go through to find their friend is hilarious. A movie every comedy-lover has got to watch!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

When I was a kid I loved this book. I thought it was fun and cute, but being a children's book it was only 20 pages long. So when I heard that it was being made into a movie, I was a bit shocked. I figured if they made it exactly like the book it would only be an hour long. Then I saw the preview ad they were in a flying car and soaring through what looked like an alien planet. So needless to say, since movies are never as good as the books, I didn't want to see this.
Then the other day my mom had me put on this movie. As always (and she is so going to shove this in my face when she reads this) she was. . . right. It was actually a really cute movie and nothing of what I expected. They took the classic tale I loved and made it their own with funny characters, originality, and new inventive ideas. Along with extremely talented actors Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Mr. T, James Caan, and Bruce Campbell, this is a guaranteed classic and meant for all ages to enjoy.

Sherlock Holmes

We all know and love the classic characters of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. So it comes to no surprise that they make another grand debut on the silver screen.
But the story and mystery that surrounds the dynamic duo will keep you guessing til the very last minute. By then you'll be begging for another mystery for them to unravel before your eyes.
This movie begins with Holmes (Downey Jr.) and Watson (Law) and their last case before Watson decides to he must grow up and break away from Holmes' chaotic, reckless, and unpredictable behavior. (Those who are familiar with the show HOUSE will understand this.) Blackwood (Strong), our antagonist, is arrested and sentenced to death. Case closed. Until Blackwood rises from the grave and causes the case to be reopened.
Holmes and Watson must try and solve this catastrophe. But can a man who relies all his detective skills on science and deductive reasoning, solve a mystery from the dead? Every riddle has an answer, it just might take a little longer to solve it.

The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

This movie is one of many based on the classic story by Alexandre Dumas, but only this one has its own twists. This one starring James Caviezel and Guy Pierce, takes on the tale and makes it its own. Even though the movie mostly covers the time in prison, it is very thorough about the truth. I think that the whole revenge plot was too short in the movie but if they'd follow the book it would have been at least 30 years. For those of you who have read this book you'll understand that I'm not exaggerating. Anyway, this movie may not be the best in the world but it is pretty good with the depth of the characters and the incredible story. It kind of makes you want to make sure you haven't ticked anybody off lately. This movie is, in my opinion, is a great film with an extraordinary interpretation of a classic story.

The A-Team

'I love it when a plan comes together.' Hannibal and his Alpha Team are hitting the big screen. This movie is incredible!!! Explosions! Comedy! Amazing stunts! This movie's got it all and the sequence of the movie may be a bit unusual but my overall view says that its well-worth it. It starts out with the team getting together and leads to their first successful mission. Just like in the show we have Hannibal (Neeson) getting the plans, Face (Cooper) with the supplies, B.A. (Jackson) is the muscle, and Murdock (Copley) is. . .well Murdock. The show was great, even though I've seen only a few episodes I understand where the movie was aiming for. The A-Team is an awesome movie that everybody should definitely go see!

Alice in Wonderland

Everyone pretty much remembers the Disney version. There have been numberless amount of movies, shows, and cameos of most of the Wonderland characters. They are pretty familiar but its pretty much the same story over and over again. 6-year-old Alice Kingleigh chases a rabbit in a waistcoat go down a hole, while leaning over Alice falls in too and wakes up in Wonderland. Tim Burton's version however shoots thirteen years into the future when Alice (Wasikowska) is 19. She thinks her previous visit was just a dream, until she sees the same rabbit. When she again ends up in 'Underland' she finds out who she truly is and what she's capable of. Including some of the most memorable characters such as the Mad Hatter (Depp), Knave (Glover), White Rabbit (Sheen), Absolem (Rickman), and Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Lucas). This movie is a great not only because it continues the story but also because of how the characters have come to life through all the CGI effects and animation. With an incredible storyline and amazing actors this movie is definitely a must see!!!

The Killers

Now you all know by now that I love movies and have no life. I went to the theaters to watch this movie with a couple of my friends. I have a special members card because I go to the movies so much so I got my ticket for free. I still wanted to run out screaming for my money back. This was the dullest movie I have seen in years. Worse than 9 by Tim Burton and Curious Case of Benjamin Button combined. With a weak story, lame characters, and bad action sequences. I usually don't remember the trailers I see right before the movie...that was the best part people. And for those of you who are like me and have been disappointed by Mission Impossible 9 or whatever number their at and have no love for Tom Cruise, you will know I'm serious when I say Knight and Day looked so friggin' good. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM. You will thank me when you watch it on HBO.

Night at the Museum: Smithsonian

Night at the Museum #1 was a good movie, it really was. With all the history involved and the awesome last scene where their all dancing with the strobe lights. And let's face it, the second one was just wrong. The story was kind of lame and although there is comedy its seems to me like it should be more of a spoof movie than an action/adventure. Unlike The Curious Case of Benjamin Button though, you can watch this movie quite a few times and still laugh at the amazingly stupid but histerical lines. Not the best movie by a long shot, but funny nonetheless.
